Waivers

The person making the reservation is required to sign a waiver prior to receiving rentals or having rentals delivered. This waiver is provided via the emailed reservation confirmation and must be signed by the renter electronically. By signing the waiver, the renter is personally signing not only for themselves but also with consent and for all members of the renting party agreeing to all topics listed within, as well as agreeing to the Terms & Conditions listed below. They are also agreeing that users within their party will abide by our Electric Bike-specific age restrictions, which do not permit any operators of these bicycles to be less than 18 years old.

Delivery & Pickup
Delivery & pickup of rental bike(s) is available and must be specified at the time of reservation. Rental delivery/pick up is available following the policy outlined below:

  • Requires minimum of 1 bike rental for 2 days
  • 4-hour advanced notice required
  • See Stedvan Delivery Fee Chart
  • Due to driver availability, please ensure that your reservation start & end times fall within the following hours:
    • Tuesday through Friday 11AM to 4PM
    • Saturday 11AM to 2PM
    • Sunday Not Currently Available 

If this option is selected we will contact you at the phone number provided once reservation has been made to confirm pricing/payment, arrange final details, and process delivery/pickup fee(s). Actual delivery is typically plus or minus an hour from your requested time to meet transportation availability. Please allow 4 hours advanced notice for delivery if this option is selected- delivery of rental bikes may not be available inside this timeframe.

Damage to Rental Bike  
Customer is liable for any/all damage to rental bike(s) sustained during rental period. We reserve the right to evaluate rental bikes up to 72 hours after being returned and will notify customers within this time period of any/all damage discovered. The cost to repair will be charged using the credit card on file used to make the initial reservation. 

In the event that a bicycle and/or component is found to be broken, malfunctioning and/or questionable by the customer, customer is required to notify us immediately by phone (leaving a voicemail if after-hours) or email rentals@stedmansbikeshop.com and we will implement a remedy. Failure to notify the store within your preselected rental duration will result in any and all repair costs being the full responsibility of the customer. 

Cancellation Policy
When you book your reservation, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other customers. In the event that you can not make your booking please call the shop as soon as you know you will not be able to honor your reservation.

If cancellation is necessary, we require that you notify us via phone call at least 24 hours in advance. Rental bikes are in high demand and your advanced notice will allow another customer access to that reservation time.

How to Cancel Your Reservation
If you need to cancel your reservation, please call us at at 401-789-8664 option #1. If necessary, you may leave a detailed voicemail message. We will return your call as soon as possible.

Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A cancellation is considered late when the reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before the selected Pickup Time; cancellations requested inside this window will receive a 50% refund. A no-show is when a reservation is not picked up at the designated time without cancelling or prior notification; no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Late Fees & Early Return Policy
Late Fees
Customers are required to return rental bike(s) by the date and time listed when reservation is booked. A return is considered late if not returned prior to this time. Each bicycle returned up to 60 minutes late will be charged a late fee equal to 50% the first day's rental rate; all bicycles returned more than an hour after the reservation was scheduled to end will incur a fee equal to double the first day's rental rate on a per-bicycle basis. 

Early Return 
Once a reservation has been placed rental bikes are marked as unavailable to other customers for the duration of the booking. Since this time block is no longer bookable by other customers refunds are not available for bikes returned prior to the selected end date/time.

"Extras" Replacement Fees
In addition to the liability outlined in the Damage to Rental Bike section above, customers are also liable for damage and/or loss sustained by rental “Extras” during the rental period. The cost to replace will be charged using the credit card on file used to make the initial reservation. Replacement costs for “Extras” are as follows:
