Bike Path Routes:

Narragansett Shore & Return (5.5 Miles)

Our shortest route takes you east from Stedman's Bike Shop to the Narragansett Shore and return. The last third of the way to the beach does involve some roadway.

Kingston Train Station & Return (12.4 miles)

Our second shortest route takes you west from Stedman's Bike Shop to the historic Kingston Train Station and return. This route is entirely dedicated bike path with the exception of the short 0.2 mile Railroad St.

University of Rhode Island & Return (14.2 miles)

This route takes you west from Stedman's Bike Shop to the University of Rhode Island (URI) and return. This route takes you on one of the newest sections of the bike path crossing through Peckham Farm.

Full South County Bike Path & Return (19.4 miles)

This route takes you on the William C O'Neil (aka South County) Bike Path. It starts at Stedman's Bike Shop and takes you west and then splits off north on the University of Rhode Island (URI) spur to the URI campus. It returns back to the split and continues to the historic Kingston Train Station. Now you will return east to the end at the Narragansett Sr. Center. You may extend your ride further east on roadways if you want to reach the Narragansett Town Beach (approximately and extra mile). Otherwise, you will turn around at this point and return to the shop.

Nearby Scenic Routes:

Riders should be comfortable riding on roads with traffic. Exercise caution where there are parked cars and crosswalks.

Point Judith Lighthouse & Return (16.3 Miles)

This route takes you to the main attraction in Narragansett; the Point Judith Lighthouse. You briefly start on the bike path and make your way through the revitalized Boon St area to the scenic Ocean Rd. You'll pass Scarborough Beach as you head south. On the return route you'll see more of the northern section of Ocean Rd passing by the Coast Guard House and Towers and finally Narragansett Town Beach.

The Point Loop (17.2 miles)

This is a classic route from Stedman's Bike Shop to the Port of Galilee, the Point Judith Lighthouse, and return via scenic Ocean Rd.

902 Wordens Short (21.4 miles)

This is a Shop Ride favorite. It takes you west out of town and to Tuckertown Rd passing by Tuckertown Pond and Playing Fields. It continues across Rt110 on to Wordens Pond Rd passing by Worden Pond Boat Ramp that affords a scenic view of the pond. Soon you will be working your way north to the maple tree canopy covered Beaver River Rd. Moving east you will finally arrive at Kingston Train Station and the beginning of the bike path. The bike path brings you into Peacedale Village and finally back to town!

TBD (xx.x miles)
