Rides & Events

Welcome to the 2023 season of group rides sponsored by Stedman's Bike Shop

These rides leave the shop weekly and are open to the public. All participants must complete a 2023 Season Rider Registration (once a year).

Scheduled rides and their start times are posted in the calendar below. We ask that you “sign up” for individual rides. This allows the Stedman’s ride leaders to know how many riders will be participating in the various ride groups offered. To sign up, select the ride in the calendar, select the “Register & Info” link, complete and submit the short form.

On ride day, please be respectful of our neighbors and do not park in other business’ parking lots. Parking in the immediate area is available on Main Street, Woodruff Ave and also west on Main St behind the comfort station where the bike path crosses. Assemble ride groups on the sidewalk and not in the road so as to not impede traffic on Woodruff Ave.

(Be sure that your email spam filters allow email from info@stedmansbikeshop.com as we use this account to provide ride info at times)

Thursday Shop Ride

Stedman's Hour of Tempo (SHOT) Ride - Thursdays

The object of this ride is to stay together at an average ride pace of 16 mph over the course of one hour.  We will not be doing shots of liquor before the ride but you may want to do a Clif Shot? Come inside the shop first and we will set you up!

Ride routes will vary, but will typically be around 16 miles long. At this pace, conversations are encouraged while getting a basic level of fitness at a tempo pace for most. These rides start at the shop at 6:15 PM on Thursdays depending on weather. There's only one exception. Read on...

Last Thursday of each Month is Shaidzon Beer Co. Ride. On this day, we meet at Shaidzon Beer Co. in West Kingston and we roll from their parking lot at 6:00 PM and end the ride there. Afterwards, you are welcome to help us support this local business in their outdoor beer patio located behind the building.

See calendar below for go/no go status and start times. Click on event for all info, registration, & downloadable route.
